Mapping and stretching well markers and logs

When you are planning a well, a sidetrack or a wellbore section, there usually is no data available yet for that exact location. Data from wells that are located nearby this new well can be extended to provide pseudo data for the well or wellbore sections without data. Depth stretching is the main method to map this data to the new well. All the functionality you need to perform the mapping and stretching of well marker and log data is available in the mapping substrip. You typically use the mapping features when the vertical characteristics of the source well and the target well are similar. For more precise mapping, you use the depth stretching workflow.
